Today (10 November 2014), e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) Executive Committee Members met with Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, University of Asia Pacific. The members informed Jamilur Reza Choudhury about e-CAB’s goals and activities. e-Commerce is going to be the next big trend in Bangladesh and we must prepare for it.
e-CAB will closely work with the policy makers, e-Commerce companies, banks, payment gateways and other related business organizations to develop this sector. The Executive Committee members asked Jamilur Reza Choudhury to become an Advisor of e-CAB and provide his guidance and direction from time to time.
e-CAB executive members also requested Jamilur Reza Choudhury to start introducing courses on e-Commerce in University of Asia-Pacific because there will be huge demand of skilled man power in this sector in near future. Jamilur Reza Choudhury gladly gave his consent to become an advisor of e-CAB.
He also said that he will discuss with concerned authorities of the university to start introducing courses on e-Commerce. Razib Ahmed, President of e-CAB; Syeda Gulshan Ferdous, e-CAB Vice-President; Md. Abdul Wahed Tomal, e-CAB General Secretary; Khan Mohummad Kaisar, Chairman, e-CAB Standing Committee on Government Affairs; and Redwan Zakariah, e-CAB Overseas Coordinator, Australia, were present in the meeting.
